Pneumatic Forklifts

Pneumatic Forklifts Training British Columbia - Commonly used in delivery facilities, the pneumatic forklift or pallet truck, can be utilized to carry materials that are placed on top of pallets. A pneumatic lift truck commonly has a pair of metal forks installed on a wheeled counterbalance that also has a pump. The pump is used to lift and lower the blades.

Visually check the pallet lift before loading. Make sure the wheels are clear of any likely obstructions. Moreover, make sure the handle moves easily and turns appropriately. Check the pallet prior to moving it to determine if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the possibility of anything falling off during lifting. Discharge any air in the pump and drop the forks to the ground by squeezing the handle installed on the inside of the metal ring on the end of the handle. Slide the forks into the slots in the pallet and make sure the blades are centered so that the pallets’ mass is evenly distributed.

By pumping the pneumatic jack lever the blades will go up from the floor. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to elevate the hoist anymore. To move the pallet lift, you can lug the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet truck. There will be a large amount of momentum present. Avoid quick or sharp turns and do not stop too abruptly. Gently bring the pallet to a halt where you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the handle end to return the forks to the ground. Pull out the forks from the pallet and return the pallet lift to its chosen parking spot.
